Maxim Mogilevsky
Pianist, pedagogue. Currently director of an opera theatre in Nanjing, China. Director of the piano programme and Professor Emeritus at Zhejiang University in Hangzhou. He is the artistic advisor of the Jiangsu Performing Arts Centre in Nanjing, and the organiser of the first Mariinsky Theatre Festival held in Nanjing in 2018.
Maxim performs with the Mariinsky Theatre Symphony Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Orchestre National de France, the Rotterdam Philharmonic, the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, the St Petersburg State Academic Symphony Orchestra and others. Maxim has collaborated with such conductors as Valery Gergiev, Seiji Ozawa, Gerard Schwarz, Yuri Bashmet, Mikhail Pletnev, Jean-Claude Casadesus, Alexander Sladkovsky and Leif Segerstam.
He has performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Kravis Center, Segerstam Arts Centre, Lincoln Theatre, Jordan Hall and other venues, as well as at festivals in Salzburg, Edinburgh, Spoleto, the Ravinia Festival (Highland Park, USA), Denis Matsuev’s Crescendo Festival and the Ruhr Piano Festival, among others.
Maxim Mogilevsky is an active participant in Yuri Bashmet’s Russian youth educational projects.
