In the heart of the Arctic, amid a land of legends and vast snow‑covered plains, the «Symphony of Yamal» — a distinctive international competition of classical music — will once again take place.

We believe that art transcends borders, and our mission is to let it resound to the accompaniment of the northern winds. Our aim is to introduce emerging artists to international audiences and to make classical music as accessible as possible. For young performers, the «Symphony of Yamal» offers a rare opportunity to be heard by an authoritative jury, to share the stage with renowned masters and to receive powerful support for the launch and development of their professional careers. The success of our first winners — the brilliant violinist Stefania Pospekhina and the virtuoso pianist Rui Ming — is the best motivation for those who are just planning to become part of our symphony.

I invite all ambitious, diligent and talented musicians from around the world to come to Yamal — to challenge the finest, showcase your artistry and join us in presenting an unforgettable musical celebration for the people of the North.

This competition will help to ensure the continuity of generations of the Russian performing school, support young musicians at the formation stage of their artistic development and will be considered as a milestone of Russia’s national musical culture, helping to discover new talents.
