Jason Guo

Jason Guo graduated from the Central Conservatory of Music of China. That same year, he was offered a full scholarship and was accepted to Michigan State University to continue his cello studies. Two years later, he was accepted to the University of Southern California, and upon admission he was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy degree in cello playing.

He has participated in numerous international music festivals and music summer camps, and has performed many times with the world’s leading musicians and major symphony orchestras such as Riverside, Redland, Santa Barbara and the Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra.

To date, Jason Guo is a renowned musician. With an excellent academic record, he was recommended for the position of principal cellist of the Grand Lansing Symphony Orchestra. Professor Guo has been involved in music education and cello performance in the United States for many years. He is a member of the American Music Teachers Association and the Musicians Association of the United States.
