Borislav Strulev
Outstanding Russian cellist, versatile multistylist, renaissance man – who has performed virtually the entire classical repertoire for cello and travelled all corners of the world with it. He graduated from the Central Music School of Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory. As a soloist he made his Carnegie Hall debut in 1999 – he played with legendary pianist Byron Janis and was a special guest at the Oscar Peterson tribute at Carnegie Hall. Participated in the soundtrack recording for Luc Besson’s film «La Turbulence des fluids». Musical director of the «BelgorodMusicFest» International Music Festival. A unique cellist of exceptional temperament and technique, one of the first to perform jazz on the cello.
