Boris Andrianov

Honoured Artist of Russia, Artistic Director of the international festivals «Vivacello» and «Vivarte». He studied at the Gnessin Moscow Special School of Music, Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory and the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin. Laureate of the XI International Tchaikovsky Competition.

Boris Andrianov is now a renowned Russian cellist who performs on the world’s major stages and at the most prestigious festivals. Regularly touring abroad, the musician attaches particular importance to performances in Russia, whether in major cultural centres, small towns or remote villages where concerts have never been held before; he is a leader and active participant in a number of international and national projects aimed at developing Russian musical life, particularly in the country’s regions.

Such projects are invariably a huge success, with internationally renowned artists from various countries taking part in them alongside Boris Andrianov.

Since 2009 Boris Andrianov has been teaching at the Moscow Conservatoire. The artist plays on a cello by Carlo Bergonzi from the State Collection of Unique Musical Instruments.
