Maxim Mogilevsky

Pianist, teacher. Visiting professor at the China National Conservatory in Beijing. Director of the piano programme and honorary professor at Zhejiang University in Hangzhou. Maxim is an artistic consultant for the Jiangsu Performing Arts Centre in Nanjing, as well as the organiser of three Mariinsky Theatre Festivals, which took place in Nanjing in 2018 -2020. He is a visiting professor at the New England Conservatory in Boston, USA, and a visiting professor at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, Austria.

As a soloist Maxim has performed with the Mariinsky Theatre Symphony Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Orchestre National de France, the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, the St Petersburg State Academic Symphony Orchestra

and others. He has collaborated with conductors such as Valery Gergiev, Seiji Ozawa, Gerard Schwarz, Yuri Bashmet, Mikhail Pletnev, Jean-Claude Casadesus, Alexander Sladkovsky and Leif Segerstam.

Laureate of the Rachmaninov Foundation Prize in Switzerland, the Golden Mask National Prize of the Russian Federation, the European Critics Award for the best recording of the year and the Chinese National Prize for 1000 Talents awarded by the  President Xi Jingping.

Regularly performs at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Centre, the Kravitz Centre, the Segerstrom Centre for the Arts, Lincoln Theatre, Jordan Hall and other venues, as well as at festivals in Salzburg, Edinburgh, Spoleto, Ravinia (Highland Park, USA), Denis Matsuev’s Crescendo Festival, the Ruhr Piano Festival and others.

Maxim Mogilevsky is an active participant in Yuri Bashmet’s Russian youth educational projects.
