Pavel Milyukov
Russian violinist, soloist of the Moscow Philharmonic, soloist at the St Petersburg House of Music, and since 2016, a teacher at the violin department of the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory.
Currently, he also directs music performance programmes at the Sirius Educational Centre (Krasnodar Region). In 2016 he was awarded the Order of Friendship.
Graduated from the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory. Then continued his studies at the Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts. He was twice awarded a scholarship of the St Petersburg House of Music and the Rossiya Bank.
Laureate of the Kloster-Schöntal International Violin Competition, the Paganini Moscow International Violin Competition (2007; II prize winner), the Vibrarte International Music Competition, the David Oistrakh Moscow International Violin Competition. In 2015 he won III prize at the XV International Tchaikovsky Competition.
Pavel has given masterclasses in various cities in Russia and Brazil, toured to Austria, Belgium, Brazil, China, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, North and South Korea, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. Regularly plays at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall, the Great Hall of the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, the Concert Hall of the Mariinsky Theatre and other venues.
Pavel Milyukov has performed with such conductors as Valery Gergiev, Vladimir Spivakov, Mikhail Pletnev and others. Played with the Tchaikovsky Grand Symphony Orchestra, the Mariinsky Theatre Symphony Orchestra, the Moscow State Academic Symphony Orchestra under Pavel Kogan and others.
